Know this...

...if you drive yourself here

The road from east Bali out here is not great: it is often busy with overloaded trucks and risk-taking buses, and we do not recommend driving out here at night if you're not familiar with driving in Indonesia. If your flight lands in Bali after midday, we suggest you chill out and spend one night closer to the airport before leaving for West Bali the next morning. If you choose to drive straight through to Menjangan, expect to arrive about 6 hours after your plane lands. All of the hotels in Menjangan will offer airport pick-up, and most of them choose to drive up through the centre of Bali to the north coast, to avoid the overloaded trucks.

...if you're travelling on a budget

There aren't many budget hotels around Menjangan so if you're wanting to pay under US$100 a night then you'll be better off looking around Pemuteran for accommodation, and coming to Menjangan as a day trip. The big drawcard here is diving and snorkelling and most hotels in Pemuteran would be able to arrange this for you.

...if you need cash

The closest ATMs are in the port town of Gilimanuk, about 15 minutes away.

...if you're looking for a town

Menjangen here refers to an area; there is no "Menjangan town". If you're looking for a convenience store, head on to Gilimanuk or Pemuteran.
