Surf

a wonderfully wild and quiet beach break​ at Balian. Boards are available for rent near the beach, and you can take lessons here too.

Yoga

classes are held daily in Balian. Stretch out after a long surf sessions, or begin and end your days mindfully in this lovely seaside village.

Explore

the exquisite rice terraces that stretch from Pantai Soka all the way back to the foot of Batukaru mountain. They're among the loveliest rice terraces in Bali.

Sushi

Surf is a chilled, breezy cafe that overlooks the waves of Balian beach. It serves excellent sushi, smoothies and juices, healthy breakfasts and a range of cocktails.

Relax

for a few days. Balian's a great spot to enjoy some down time, and to catch up on reading, indulge in massages, work on your tan....

Swim

in a pool while you watch the surf. Pondok Pitaya has a lovely beachfront swimming pool – non-guests are welcome to use it if they order a meal from the restaurant.

Visit

the small Catholic Church in hillside Selabih village, near Balian. There's a pretty shrine to the Virgin Mary set in tended gardens, and the view from up here is stunning.

Walk

down to Juwuk Manis, West Bali's pretty twin waterfalls. There is a pool at the bottom that you can swim in. The waterfall is just off the road to Medewi.

Medewi

is about 25 minutes away from Balian, and a great place to spend a day – excellent surf, and plenty to do and see (and there's a beachfront bar with good views of the surf point).
